Critical Changes Coming to SMS Deliverability

SMS is an excellent channel for timely communication between brands and their customers, and many Mindful clients use SMS to invite customers to participate in surveys or to confirm callback requests.
Mindful takes several steps to guarantee a high delivery and response rate when setting up survey or callback campaigns. That includes ensuring our clients' phone numbers are registered with the appropriate authorities.
What is changing?
For clients using regular 10-digit phone numbers (known as “ten-digit long codes” or “10DLCs”), Mindful's carrier partners require the number to be registered with the Campaign Registry, which is used by the majority of US mobile carriers to validate the authenticity of application-to-person (or “A2P”) SMS traffic.
What do I need to do?
Effective June 2023 onwards, SMS campaigns sent from unregistered numbers will increasingly fail to reach the intended recipient. Eventually, carriers will actively block SMS sent from unregistered numbers. Therefore, any 10DLCs you use to send SMS from Mindful Callback or Mindful Feedback must be registered appropriately as soon as possible.
